Developing a logo system for the restaurant brought this project together. To create an effective logo with deeper meaning, I looked back to my experiences in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican architecture always stood out to me, and it became a main source of inspiration for the design. Many of the houses in Puerto Rico, including my family’s, are colorful pastels that use breeze blocks as sun protection. Breeze blocks come in many different colors and shapes, which gave me a lot of opportunity for building a system. The breeze block logo works well as a graphical framework that can be applied to different situations.
